Need help distinguishing if this is an OEM or Retail key

Solution
Microsoft’s been all over the map when it comes to whether System Builder licenses can be reused. On Windows XP, Vista, and 8, it was allowed. On Windows 7 and 8.1, it’s not allowed. On Win 10 it is embedded in BIOS somehow. No product key on the package. And to make it more confusing, most folks have no trouble renewing their Win7 OEM license when they change boards. I have changed a bunch of boards with a bunch of Win7 installations and never had to buy a new license.

Someone on another thread told me that OEM keys are locked on windows 10. Are they wrong? If so, it would be really good for me.

I don't know what they meant by "locked". If you pay 100 bucks for a legit copy of Win10, you get a license to run it on the machine it is originally installed on. In fact, $110 is a bit too much to pay.

Yeah, I had all my parts and was willing to shell out a few more bucks to get the key in store, but by locked, I mean that the Windows Key can only be used once on the hardware it is activated on, if it's an OEM key.
