i have an old p3 600 with 128mb ram (NEC) and i'd like to spend just a little money and get more ram so that this can continue to be useful as a second system (for my girlfriend). i'm running into problems having windows xp on this machine. it seems to want more ram since i keep getting virtual memory warnings. how do i know what speed etc to buy.
the nec ram i have reads the following:
mc-45v16ad641kf-a75
128mb-64/k-f-1.2
anybody know what the hell that means?
thanks

You can buy PC100 or PC133 from Crucial, you can use their memory finder to find the exact modules compatable with your system (if it's an OEM system) or motherboard (by motherboard model and brand name).
