Hello,

I've spent a lot of time on these forums reading but now the time has come for me to ask a question of my own. I see there is a lot of knowledge here and since I am stuck I thought this was the place to come.

This is the components I have selected thus far:

MB: Asus Rampage V Extreme, Socket-2011-3
CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K, Socket-LGA2011-3
GPU: 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB "Hydro Copper"
RAM: 2x Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2800MHz 16GB
SSD: Crucial MX100 SSD 256GB 2,5" 7mm (Used for Windows startup.)
HDD: 2x WD® Desktop Black 1TB
CPU cooling: Swiftech H220-X Watercooling Kit

Now my questions:

  • What powersupply would be optimal for this setup?
What more do I need to get in terms of the water cooling?
Which cases would be great for this? Silence and function before looks!

Hope someone here are able to help me out!

Regards

1. Better PSU
2. Cheaper case
3. 1x5tb hdd vs 2x2tb hdds : the 2 hdds are faster in raid, and more reliability.

Thanks again for your answer!
However, I think you are missing the point of my thread.
I have already selected the components I want, EXCEPT for powersupply and case. I also want to know what more I need to buy in order for the water cooling to work with the CPU and the two GPUs.

I don't intend to overclock. Might happen, but most likely not.
I will not be adding any more GPUs.
As of now I am not doing any editing, but I will be editing video recorded with Dxtory using Adobe Premier.

Hope this helps making it easier to answer! :)

HSF: Noctua NH-U12S
MOBO: GIGABYTE MW50-SV0
RAM: 2X8GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM's
GPU: 3X GTX970
SSD: Crucial MX200 256GB
Storage: 2X WD1002F9YZ
PSU: Antec HCP-1000
Case: Personal Preference ATX mid/full

I don't see much benifit to the pumped liquid cooling solution or flagship enthusiast class motherboard for this if you're not planning to overclock. Liquid heatpipes work fine.
