Hello! I have a decent pair of Sennheiser Game Ones which are open backed and have about 50 ohms of Impedance. I tried them with my new and first PC build and I noticed that I needed to have the volume set to 100% on windows and in game/music applications for it to be loud enough. I did a bit of research and I'm sure i need an amp of some kind to power my headphones and make them louder and possibly less distorted.
So here's what I need help with.
What amp do i buy? Almost all the products i see there's a bad review saying that (other device) is wayy better or its crazy expensive and has like 10 different ports or that the bass or highs are trash.
Am I going to want a separate DAC or an Amp/DAC combo? I'm definitely not an audio engineer so I don't know if once I get my headphones powered I will hear electrical static. (I don't hear any in its current state)
And if I do need a DAC or amp/DAC combo will it improve the audio quality or soundstage on my open back headphones?
Important info
My my price range would probably be <$200 I would rather not spend more money than i did my headphones unless its absolutely worth it
I don't travel with these headphones so I don't need a portable amp.
They only have 50 ohms of Impedance so i don't need an incredibly expensive or overpowering one, but i don't want a super cheap one either because I've heard a cheap one could end up sounding worse than it does without extra hardware.
My headphones take a 3.5mm jack but I could probably find an adapter if needed.
~I hope all the needed info is here, if not just ask!
Thanks
