I'm hoping to find a replacement for my old motherboard. Preferably a capable yet affordable motherboard. I'd really appreciate explanations for the choices given to me and also would appreciate it if someone could tell me if I'd just be better off saving stuff I wanted and starting new or if it's a simple switch that would just involve me deleting old chipsets/files/etc. and downloading new ones.
My rig is as follows:
RX-1200AE power supply
Intel Core i5-3570k 3.4GHZ LGA1155
*MSI H77MA-G43 Intel H77 motherboard*
8GB Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
Seagate Barricuda 1TB SATA HDD
2 MSI 18x DVDROM SATA optical drives
EVGA GeForce GTX 560-Ti FPB 1024 GDDR5
and a Thermaltake Overseer RX-I Full Tower
My issue is that I got a second graphics card in hopes of SLI but the card is too long and covers the basic connectors for the rig (Power, Reset, HDD LED, etc) therefore not allowing me to use the computer at all. Just want a motherboard to replace the old one and have to make as little changes in files as possible.
