Hello I been wanting to upgrade my pc with a i7 processor but the one i'm getting don't support my socket size and im having a hard time trying to find a motherboard that will fix my pc case and have the right socket size.
My current processor is a intel i3 2120 3.3 GHz and my motherboard is H-Joshua-H61-uATX (Joshua)
The new processor i'm getting is a intel core i7-920 2.66 GHz processor or an intel core i7-965 if i got the enough left over money.
Can anyone help me find a motherboard that can fit into my pc case and my budget is around 200$
If you need any more info feel free to ask me ill try my best to answer it.

Solution
Your PSU will be okay as long as the new processor is rated around where your i3 is at 65W. The i3-4370 is rated at 54W so should work just fine. The i7-965 which you originally said you wanted is rated at 130W and would likely take too much power.

The replacements I recommended are just as powerful as the i7-965 you said you originally wanted and will work with your power supply, and will keep you within your budget.

If you want something better you need to up your budget. The cheapest i5 for that board is the i5-4460 at $185 but it is rated at 85W so might be a power issue.

I don't know how powerful a machine you need to do the rendering you want as I don't do that type of thing. There are others on this board that can give you...
Why not just upgrade the processor and keep using the current board? You can put up to an i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz in there per HP and that will be faster than the i7-920 or i7-965.
An i7-2600 for example can be had for comfortably under $200 on eBay and scores 8241 on passmark.com versus 5911 for the i7-965.
For comparison the i3-2120 scored 3875.

Well I can do that but i'm having a little trouble with my motherboard that the moment plus I forgot to list this info because i was in a rush. my motherboard and cpu is 4 years old and the motherboard is starting to died and cpu still works good so but everything else is upgraded but the power supply. My Bad so trying to divide the money in half 100$ for motherboard and 100$ for cpu

Ok, so you need a new motherboard and have a hard time finding one that is LGA-1155 so you can continue to use the i3-2120.
So you are looking to get a new motherboard and processor for under $200 as an alternative.
- The board will need to support DDR3-1600 RAM
- Your current form factor is uATX (also known as micro ATX and mATX) so it's best to keep that size to be sure it fits.

Looks like LGA-1150 socket is your best bet. So go to your favorite retailer (or check Newegg or Microcenter) and search for the boards that meet this criteria. There are a ton listed and at reasonable prices. Then look at LGA-1150 processors too and then compare their scores on passmark.com and decide how much you want to spend for the power.

For example, this board might work and is on sale for $50: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128822&cm_re=lga-1150-_-13-128-822-_-Product
Couple that with a $120 i3-4170 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117543&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=lga_1150-_-19-117-543-_-Product
You are at the level of the i7-920 for performance.
Or go with the i3-4370 for $146 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117446&cm_re=i3-4370-_-19-117-446-_-Product

Good idea but I'm a animator and a pc gamer so I need a good processor because I got a decent graphic card and my processor is killing my fps and I want don't want my render time 9 hours so ill get that motherboard but can you also find me a decent processor like a i5 or i7 quad core I got a few listed and thank you with the help plus i got an other question if I got an a good processor will my power supply got enough watts to support my cpu and gpu? I got 300w plus it 4 years old but i'm planing to upgrade it or get a replacement in a few month and my graphic card is a Geforce Nivdia GTX 750 TI SC. I just wanna know if it can support it so if i have to get a new power supply. you don't need answer this if you don't know.
1 reason I want the intel core i7-920 because i found a very cheap verson for 49$ to 120$
