I have around an $800 budget for a gaming pc. I want to play any current games on 1920x1080 high to very high settings getting 60+ fps. Please give some insight on if this rig would be right for my wants and needs.

Cpu: AMD FX 6300
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
RAM: 8gb Cruical Ballistix Sport
GPU: EVGA GTX 960 4GB SSC
PSU: Corsair CX430
HDD: 1TB WD Blue
SSD: Sandisk 120gb
Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-1
OS: Windows 10 Home (64 bit)
Optical Drive: ASUS 24x DRW-24B1ST

I wouldn't recommend an AMD processor, especially for games & it's better if you avoid base line PSU's from corsair as the chances of failure is higher in the future, but should be enough to run a 960, not more than 2-3 years. The GTX 960 won't serve you much as far as your demand is concerned, but a decent choice for 1080p gaming. Here is my suggestion :-

A solid state drive won't be necessary, right now. Maybe in future, including another (1x8GB) DDR4-2400 memory.

in spite of the previous poster, I do offer you a SSD. As long as you have a previous version of win 7, 8 or 8.1, Win 10 is free, so no need to buy it

Solution
Wait for the new hardware that's coming out since it could impact your options as right now an rd 480 is a really good GPU for 200 dollars and it play any game according to game debate and for anything above 500 ish go for an Intel CPU
