IF you were looking at 400$, why bought 1060 3gb? Or do you plan on upgrading again?hi jim i was looking more at a $400 graphics card and needed it for just better performance gaming, i was in a bit of a rush but i've just got a new inno3d geforce gtx 1060 3gb 192bit gddr5 so my main question do you think that's ok to go in my pc?

damn really i think i'll just build a new one lolNope, that gpu requires at least a 450w psu.

Though the others are correct, I have used a GPU that required a higher power than my PSU could provide to no noticeable ill effect. Though I am not condoning it.
A 1050 would have been a safer bet...
That wasn't the point. I had a 400W PSU with 192 W on 12V rails. Even 1650 was enough to shut it down.To be more specific on what I said, I have tried running a Gtx 750ti which requires 300w on a 200 ish watts psu before.
When looking at gpu specs, there are two power specs, one for the demand of the gpu, another for the minimum recommended power requirement.
In the case of the gtx 750ti, the first spec (listed as graphics card power in nvidia site) is only 60 watts, so it could be run even without the 300w power requirement.
Don’t quote me on this but the way I understand it is the minimum power requirement accounts for all other components in the system including the gpu, not just the gpu in itself.
You can just replace the psu tbh. Get either the coolermaster masterwatt 550w or corsair cx550mdamn really i think i'll just build a new one lol

Without knowing his PSU model, you can't say for sure it's actually 300W. And even if it is 300W, keeping it under load at all times isn't ideal let alone safe.
hey just wondering if you think this is all compatibleNope, that gpu requires at least a 450w psu.
The first thing I'd remove from this would be the GTX1060 . 3GB? Seriously? Even at 1080p some games require more than 4GB. How much are you getting the 1060 for? There might be obvious better choice than that.hey just wondering if you think this is all compatible
