Need help finiding good memory for gaming..

Hey all, I need a good memory for gaming for about $200-$220... 2 gigs is good.

200-220 can get you I believe 4 gigs (given that you get ddr2 800, pc 6400). If you pay that you are being overpriced in my opinion. (if you pay 200-220 for 2 gigs and it isn't higher than pc 6400)

However.

If you want the DDR3 ram, you can pay a hella lot for more. I can only advise you with the ddr2 ram which in my opinion you can buy 2 gigs of ddr 2 800 pc 6400 corsair, OCZ, or a-data high performance ram for around 70-130 on newgg.

Whats the point in getting that?

Look for some low latency PC2-6400, like dominator. Latencies are important, closer to 1 the better.

Bu ying 2 of those, you can run dual channel. You dont need SLI to use them or anything like that. They are great because you have 1T command rate, not a lot of memory can use that well. And theres plenty of reviews where they manage to get a few of these timings down even more.
