[SOLVED] Need help fitting CoolerMaster Hyper 212

Hello,

i am trying to install a CM hyper 212 evo on to my MSI tomahawk b450 max motherboard.

I am having a problem when trying to fit the 4 arm metal plate into the screws in the motherboard.

I have an issue where two corners will fit in but then the other two don’t line up correctly.

I have attached a couple of pics of the metal plate without the fan to show you what I mean.

I have read the instructions but it’s not very clear. when the bracket isn’t attached to the fan I can manipulate it and it fits, but when it is attached to the fan it doesn’t align

The brackets attach to the cooler block running down the sides of it. Make sure you are using the right ones. They have a YouTube video showing install for intel and amd .

do you have a link to the video? I have no idea why this bracket isn’t fitting.

i removed the fan from the bracket to see if it does fit, it only fits if I put two corners in and then push the other ones in place, something which can’t be done when it’s attached the the fan as the little pin stops it turning

RTFM? I’ve watched YouTube installs, they say that the bracket shown in the pictures fits perfectly, mine doesn’t regardless of how I position it

Read The F** Manual

If it doesn’t fit you need to rotate it 90’

the HS has to be underneath the bracket or you’re wasting your time.

it’s also very likely you have the backplate inverted if you’re having issues
