Hello together,
so im planning to upgrad/built a pc at the end of this year I guess and need your help, whats best. I mainly using my pc for gaming on 1080p 60hz atm. I want a built thats capable of all the coming AAA titles on mid-high graphics for the next atleast 5-6 years. It also should be able to upgrade to 1440p without problems. So now my idea of a built:

CPU: i7 6700k // i5 6600k
Mainboard: Asus z170 pro gaming // asus rog maximus 8 hero (tending to the pro gaming)
RAM: vengeance lpx ddr4 3000 16gb // crucial ballistix sport 2400 16gb (tending to vengeance)
GPU: ???
power: bequiet system power 700W (7years old and in use already)
CPU cooler: ???

the big question about the gpu, so what would be best for 1080p or max 1440p and not an overkill? I think a gtx 1070 would be an overkill and in germany it will cost a lot more than in US. Is a 970 enough or better get a 980ti or 1070?
Im thankful for every help guys^^
and I got totally no clue what cpu cooler i should use.

and a question about the power supply: after how many years you would buy a new one? Mine is running for 7 years now and im not sure, if i should take it in the new build :D

Thank you for helping and sorry for bad english Im from germany

So with my budget theres no chance to get a good built lasting for 5+ years?

What would your built be, for my needs lasting 5+ years? Just interested and maybe im going to upgrade a bit later with a bigger budget.

Im living in Germany.

Not sure if I will buy things here or maybe import something. But I think this thread is closed then, if its not possible to get a built dealing 5 years new games. Im not able to upgrade every 2 years to play^^ So I will stay with my current setup.

well here is what I came up with.

Thank you mate, but I only need CPU, GPU, RAM; CPU Cooler, Mainboard and maybe a new power supply, if a 7 year old bequit 700W isnt enough or if it would better to get a new one.

But would this setup last the 5 years for games? I dont want to invest 900E if i have to upgrade after 2-3 years again.

I recommend you wait and see what the prices of the NVidia 1080 and 1070 will be for you in your country and then if possible buy at a minimum the 1070 as it will outperform the NVidia 970 and 980 for less money then the NVidia 980. You will be able to purchase it in a couple weeks.

Many will say it is crappy but no it is not. Agreed clock speed is important and 4 cores are enough but that is for now.
In near future there will be requirement of 6cores for smooth performance and even 8cores like after 5years

and if stay at only 1080p the whole time (dont know if realistic). Would there be a 3-5 years 1080p built cheaper then the builts you posted?
