Need help for building a gaming pc!!

Hello guys,

I am pretty new here. This is even my first post. I don't know if this is too much but my question was about the components that i put on a list if it works good with each other.

Case: corsair 600t white edition
Psu: cm silent pro gold 1000w
MB: asus p8p67 evo
Cpu: intel core i7 3770k
Ram: corsair vengeance 4x4gb
Vcard: nvidia gtx 690
Hdd: seagate berracuda 3tb
Ssd: crucial m4 128gb
Optical drive: lite on blueray
OS: windows 7 hp
Cpu cooler: intel liquid cooling rts2011lc

I just want to know if i am good go or not good to go. And if i'm not than why. I really dont want to ask too much but do you guys know which intel cpu is the best for overclocking. I am planning to do this in the future.

Btw this is my first time building a gaming pc. I really need help. It would mean alot if you leaved a answer to my questions. Oh and sorry for my english i'm from europe.

If you are willing to spend this much then great. I do have a few suggestions. For once don't buy a coolermaster psu. Look at a Corsair TX 750. Make sure to get 64 bit Windows. Home premium has a 16GB RAM cap so if you ever plan on changing ram kits to 32 GB get ultimate, otherwise it's fine. Don't get that cpu cooler. A good air cooler will be better. Try Noctua NHD-14. So my question to you is what resolution do you plan on? If it is anything less than 2560x1600 that gpu is a waste of money.

That motherboard, Cpu, and Ram kit are sub-optimal as well. Post us a budget, and we'll build you a Pc within that budget.

The chipset for the motherboard is older. For most people they stick with a z77 chipset. The Cpu is completely not needed. The 3570k benches about the same in gaming and costs less. Games don't take advantage of Hyperthreading and the only benefit the 3770k has over the 3570k is 100mhz clock speed at stock speeds. Since you'll be overclocking anyways, save the money. Since you'll want a z77 chipset, you'll want 2x 4gb's sticks of Ram. 8gb's is all you need for gaming.

I really thank you for your suggestion. Then i think ill stick with the 3570 then. But i really want to use watercooling on my cpu. In my opinion it looks nicer. But i will think about that aircooler. Thanks again.

Well my budget is €2,500,-. And another thing. What is the purpose to have 16gb of ram if i only need 8 gb for gaming. Because as far as i know the games are going to look better abd better and it wil use more ram. So if i can get a answer on that that'll be great. I hope you understand me this is the first time for me and i want to kmow as much as i can. I dont want to waste money.

Gaming doesn't even need the full 8gb of Ram right now. However, your choices are 4gb and 8gb, so it's best to just get the 8gb while still using the advantages of dual channel Ram. 2500 will build you one hell of a pc. Most likely it'll end up costing about 1500 - 1800 for everything. The extra money can be spent of course, but your performance gain per money spent really starts to decline past a certain point. Build will be forthcoming.

So i guess i wil go for the 3570k cpu, an other psu, z77 chipset mb and less ram. I really thank you for the suggestion. I will leave this answer of mine open so ppl can post their suggestions.

Closed Loop Cooler included. Assuming you are gaming at 1080p, that video card will be more than enough. The 690 is just plain overkill for that resolution. Everything else is pretty standard except for the Blu-ray burner included.
