I need a charger to use in a vehicle while driving to charge my acer predator helios 300 made in 2018. I have spent hours and hours and hours trying to make sure to get the right one so as not to damage my laptop. I just can't figure out what one to get OEM or Universal.

Input 100- 240 V ~ 2.34 A 50-60 Hz
Output 19.5 V - 9.23 A, which would be 180 watts I believe
then of course the correct connector which is 5.5x1.7mm
can anyone jgive me a link or send me an email about what cord I can use in my car for this. Too many hours and still don't know the correct one.

Sorry, I'm with ThatVietGuy. There are so many different configurations of charger that you'd be crazy to try to find something that connects directly from the lighter port to your laptop unless it was literally offered as an option when you bought the model.

An inverter is the correct, safe approach to this problem.

Thats an inverter. I am looking for a cigarette lighter/accessory type charger. Can't I charge directly from the cigarette / accessory port with the correct cord?
To answer this: no. The output out of a standard cigarette lighter is 12V, your laptop requires 19V. You can't just get a cord that plugs right into your laptop because it's not enough volts. And if you're going to have to do any sort of conversion, you may as well get an inverter.
