Hello, I need to change power supply fan on my old desktop computer. It makes strange noises and I have tried several methods (cleaning dust, adding a drop of oil in it, checked if it touches on cable while spinning) to fix it with no avail. As I concluded from the forum posts and youtube comments I need to replace the fan.

I am changing power supply fan for the first time. Can you advise me what should I keep in mind when buying a new fan for the power supply so that it can work properly?

English is not my native language, sorry for any mistakes

Thanks

To be blunt, if you cannot answer this question yourself, you should not be inside a power supply, they are not user serviceable, they contain high voltage after they are switched off for a considerable period of time, I wouldn't trust you tube comments to tell me the sky is blue never mind remotely diagnose the internals of a PSU. Buy a new PSU.
