Hey bros,so i'm going to upgrade my pc but nw...i don't know what to do...so here's the specs
Cpu:intel i7 4790k or intel i7 5820k
Gpu:msi gtx 970
Ram:16 gb
Mobo:msi z97s sli plus(4790k) or msi x99s sli plus(5820k)
Psu:cooler master v750 gold or cm 850w silent pro m2 silver
Case:cm cosmos se or cm storm trooper
I know that if i go with the 5820k i'm going to pay more but i can...so is it worth it going the 5820k way?i'm going to play games and a little bit of video editing...i want this pc to be able to max out ALL of the latest games on a 1080p 60hz monitor @40+ fps is that possible?plz help me choose between those things and tell me if they're all compatible...
Thx in advance :)
Sry 4 bad english :D

Solution
From the choices you have above, I would go with :

the i7, the z97 board, and for the PSU, try to find a Supernova G2 from EVGA, their PSUs are so freaking good

The higher clocked 4 cores will do better than a lower clocked 6 cores in gaming.

If you choose to go with the route of 5820k, you have to end up spending more money for a x99 board and having to opt for DDR4 instead. It's just not worth it for the time being. This might change maybe in the next 3 years though.

If its only a little (depends on your definition of little) the 4790k is fine, and it handles games like a boss. But if its really little, than get a 4690k and don't cheap out on mob. Dude your paying too much for all this. It isn't worth going 5820k for a little bit of video editing. Also try to get a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5, will be better for the price. Also isn't the Cooler Master Cosmos SE like 300 dollars. DO you even know that your paying a premium for nothing that is that premium. I would go with an S340, or a corsair 300r, and if you want to get a bit bigger, the Phanteks Enthoo Pro. Oh and cooler master's PSU are mainly crap. Do your self a favor and get either a SeaSonic, an EVGA G2 220 750 watt, or a Corsair HX(i)
or AX(i). Also get an SSD to put the OS on, oh and make sure to get a few fans. And with the saved money from the Case if you don't go Cosmos SE, you can possible use that to get a better GPU, a big SSD, or a 250 gig SSD, and if possible a good CPU Air Cooler like the Noctua NH D15, Phanteks PH TC14PE (Probably said the letters wrong), or Cryorig R1 ultimate, or something a but cheaper like the Noctua NHu14S or Phanteks PHTC12DX, or a Cryorig H5 and even cheaper if you have to, a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo.

oh and the 970 should be more than enough for 1080P gaming at at least 40 FPS on MAX Settings.

ok so do u think that the mobos that i want to get are bad?cuz when i asked people they said it's good...and the cm v750 gold is a tier 1 psu...so that means it's good right?i don't know about the silent pro one that's why i asked...and i live in egypt so not everything is available here...that's why i chose the best things i can find...and the cosmos se or the storm trooper costs abou 200$...i have a hyper 103 cpu cooler and since i'm not going to overclock atleast for nw i think it's fine...i might oc after 2 years then i'm going to change my cpu cooler.and i said a little bit cuz i'm not doing video editing right nw but i'm going to when i get that pc so i don't really know how much of video editing i'm going to do...but compared to gaming it's going to be little...plz correct me if i'm wrong :)

If you want a solid 60 FPS ( never going under 60FPS ) at 1080p max settings in games, then a single 970 isn't enough. That's assuming you aren't a crazed maniac like me who is obsessed with FPS. For the most part SLI will ensure you never go under 60FPS.

But since you want a minimum of 40FPS, then yes a single 970 will be good.

Since you have the money to do so, you can downgrade a bit on the case, or at least not pay a premium for it, like Or Nah said, a Supernova G2 would be boss, and if thats your only option for a z97 board, get that I guess, but if your willing to get a case that is a bit more cost effective so you can get a better PSU (although I searched up the PSU tier list since I didn't know what it was, and found the V series) unless their aren't many available.

If you can't really complete any of these, or have to sacrifice too much performance to do whats been mentioned, than just go with the parts you've already figured out, as it will meet your requirements.
