Hi guys, I'm new and I hope this is the right part of the forum to talk about my problem.
My PC is getting old and very outdated; I can't play "my games" quite enjoyable and I want to improve my experience. I want to get as much good stuff for the least money, if you know what I mean. I browsed partpicker and came to the conclusion that a PC which meets my current needs and also is decent for the future is around 2000$ - far too much for me. This sounds rather stupid but I really don't know which parts are worth buying. Anyways, my current PC Setup is this:
CPU: AMD FX-4100
GPU: nVidia GT440
Motherboard: Asus M5A87
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB
PSU: Chinese thing
2x SSD: 120 + 240 GB

I am very thankful for your help. Sorry for some language errors :s

Cheers

Hey man. I play a lot of CS:GO. I bought Skyrim but couldn't play it (20 fps on lowest settings and res.). I also wanted to get the new DiRT: Rally. FPS Should be over 120 on CS (but I want to play on 4:3 anyway, so max res. is 1280x1024). For Skyrim I can't tell, something in the middle settings on HD resolution at 60 fps would be sweet. In general 60 fps on medium settings.

Budget: 250-300€ + around 50 for a PSU

Your dream PC is $2000? Lol wat?

Your demands are actually extremely low and the upgrade will be an easy one. Your CPU is still capable for what you want so I wouldn't worry about it yet.

The graphics card needs to be upgraded though. What if... I tell you that you can max out anything at that resolution after the upgrade? Haha, you would be happy. This GTX 960 will be the best for you - will max out anything at that res: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp42966kr
Or this one: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-strixgtx960dc2oc2gd5

As for the Power Supply, you can't stay with Chinese crap.
The following are links to different power supplies.

Lowe quality, but still solid unit: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550gts3x

EVGA one is slightly faster but both are good. EVGA one is longer while the ASUS one is beefier on the width. Both have great cooling units while the ASUS one has great overclocking potential.

If you don't plan to overclock anything (which you shouldn't at that res), pick whichever one is cheaper.

Okay. I totally forgot that I should get a new case and some additional fans (current case is a bit.... cheap). Is there anything you'd recommend me?

Also, forgot to ask. Is there any big difference in 2 or 4 GB video ram? Because on amazon germany the price difference only is 40 euros.

There is, but not for the 960 card. GTX 960 has 128-bit which means it won't be able to utilize more than 2GB of its VRAM making the 4GB version a waste of money.

Case? Umm... depends on your budget but I really recommend Corsair 200R to everyone. It's a solid case from a good case-making company with high quality control.
