Hi everyone i am planning to buy a nvidia gtx 260
My pc specs are following:
Ci5 760
Motherboatd asus p7h55
4gb ram
40gb ide and 120gb sata harddisk
Scythe 400w psu with peak power 450
So can i run the gtx260 on my psu

Solution
If this is your PSU...

...you are below the accepted recommended PSU size with that unit. The GTX 260 is a 189W card and generally requires a 500W PSU. But if the above PSU is yours, it has 2 x +12V rails rated for 20A each. If you can look on the PSU's nameplate and find the total wattage for those 2 x +12V rails, it might be enough to 'get by'.
But why such an old, slow card. Today's cards are much more powerful and use far less wattage.

Solution
My psu has 16 and 17 amp on two 12v rails...
The reason why i was buying gtx 260 is that i was getting it for 50$
But i think i'll not go for it as i have to change psu aswell
Thanks for the help dude

OK. Your model Scythe PSU must be a different model with an even lesser +12V rail system. You're right, skip the GTX 260. Keep looking 😉
