I have requested help about this from both Intel (whom say its not there responcibility) and GigaByte (tell me to do everything I already have done).

Well I have the following
4x 160GB Barracuda 8MB Cashe drives 2 in raid 1 one 2 standalone.

2x512MB Patriot 750MHZ DDR2 Runnig at 667MHZ
Intel 540J 3.2GHZ cpu
The intel 955X chipset GA8I955X royal
Asus 850XTPE PCI-E video card
1 DVD\CD burner (sony)
1 DVD burner 3520A NEC
and a 600Watt Enermax SLI PSU
And the problem Tritton Technologies Shark 5.1 USB headset

Setup
Windows SP2 with all updates.
Motherboard drivers as per Gigabyte website.
Catalyst 5.7 drivers
EXSOUND.exe provided by tritton technologies

The problem

When I install EXSOUND.exe I get a window of launch of the programme EXSOUND.exe caused a general protection error application has just closed down.

I am sure there is a problem with the 955X chipset. I have tried it on the 945X which I built using the exact same componets as the rest of the stuff right down to the mouse. The only diffrence being it was a 945P motherboard with non raid. The programme works flawless on it.

On the 955X board I even tried to install it with just windows and had no luck no other driver or updates installed.

Bios I had to disable the none used raid controllers because they caused my intel raid to keep reporting errors and cause write problems.

I also disabled onboard Audio and tried running everything on default.
