Intro

Hello everyone, my name is Brian and as the title suggests I am in dire need of a new rig.
This will be my first build, and I am hoping to purchase the parts necessary this next coming week.

Budget

In terms of pricing i was hoping that i could figure something out for 1700$ but I am willing to go up to 2000$ if necessary.

What will this be used for

I'll be using this build mainly for music production and live streaming, (also for graphic design and video rendering but I'm sure it wont be anything too heavy when it comes to that side of things.)

Just a small list of the programs/games that will see day to day use if that will help

-Adobe After Effects
-Adobe Photoshop
-Ableton Live 9
-Fl Studio 10
-Kontakt (and many of the libraries in conjunction included in Native Instruments Komplete Collection)
-OBS (for streaming)

and ill be streaming mostly moba/rts gameplay (heroes of newerth, dota2, league of legends, starcraft 2 etc... so im sure the video card doesn't have to be top shelf, although i would prefer something nice so i can still enjoy games like battlefield 4 in my free time.

Monitor/Peripherals

I already have a monitor/keyboard/mouse/sound interface/speakers and necessary software from my previous computer so I don't need any of that.

The resolution of my monitor is 1920x1080

Preferences/Other

I might consider overclocking this rig to squeeze a little bit of performance

And i am willing to incorporate SLI/Crossfire technology into my build; granted I have 0 experience with it.

Power Efficiency isn't much of a concern for me & this thing can sound like a leaf blower for all I care, so long as it works and the integrity of the build is not in jeopardy.

I know given the rate at which we are moving with technology future proofing might be a problem with such a low budget but I'd like to be able to leave space to upgrade this build a year or two from now.

I absolutely despise windows 8/8.1 so I'll be most likely purchasing the Windows 7 OEM

I'm an Intel guy, I think that the core i7 ivy bridge/haswell lines will suit this build best but if you can convince me that something on AMD's side will work I'm willing to go with it.

And i believe that is all sorry for such a long post everyone but I wanted to be able to cover everything so that we can figure out the best build possible for what I need.

Thank You Everyone So much in advance for helping me out, I want this build to be like my baby and just want whats best for it =)

Also if there is anything else you all need to know in order to get a better idea feel free to ask away and ill answer what ever needs to be answered.

Core i7 for your needs with a good cpu cooler which is not that expensive and also not loud. RAM in quad-channel with high MHz and lower latency. Big HDD and also a SSD for fast loading times. High quality PSU with headroom for overclocking and future Sli/Crossfire. A good GPU which can play BF4 in ultra. Also a good case with good airflow and enough space.

differences from above members:

Better CPU cooler.

Better mobo with good SLI support.

Low voltage RAM that will actually run at advertised frequency with Haswell. Doesn't matter if he had a quad channel kit, his mobo only supports dual channel.

His SSD is faster, but more expensive. His HDD is one of the worst on the market reliability wise, hitachi makes the best.

Faster video card.

Larger case, better airflow for the cpu cooler and future SLI set up.

Better PSU.

CPU cooler a little better but alot more expnesive. Seagate makes good HDDs, nerver had an issue. You increase prices everywhere but reduce the SSD because it is cheaper? Also he said he dont want such expensive GPU.

Do you really need to spend $2000? I'm sure you can make one for cheaper.

i3 4330
REASON: FFS please people don't shoot me down for this. This i3 is extremely powerfull, it can run almost the same as a i5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXPK9doyMLg with this, you can upgrade to a beefy graphics card, which you especially want with a Video/music rendering software. Running in comparison to an i7 will be nominal in editing.

gtx 770
REASON:
Great all around GPU that can handle a lot of different tasks. Plus it comes free with shadow play which is a recorders best friend. Will handle all of the listed software.

16gb ram
REASON: Video/music rendering requires a lot of RAM

250gb SSD SPECIFICALLY samsung evo 840
REASON: Video/music rendering pulls a lot of files form the actual software to conduct tasks, so obviously you want a fast storage option. Plus you can put your OS on here and have a zippy computer

1tb HDD
REASON: Large general storage for shits...

some motherboard (idk whatever looks cool)

A reliable PSU in the 500+ watts range (I go with Corsair cx600 but I hear EVGA is good too)

Some case (whatever looks cool)

Reason you should go with this build: It will run all the next gen games at +60fps, it's highly specified to your needs, and finally it's a lot cheaper, like i'm building this same setup for a friend and it's $900 some odd dollars.

Also don't go with SLI/crossfire it's really inefficient is just for looks, just upgrade to a better graphics card.
