Need help guys, my watercooled 1080ti goes to 90c and 100% utilization when gaming

Hi guys, need your help. I've just finished watercooling my rig but now, I noticed that it has a low FPS and stutters during gaming. Upon checking it seems that the temperatures are at 90c and 100% utilization even if I'm in the game menu only.

I've already tried a couple of things like having a clean install of the drivers (i've reverted back to 399) and even changing the PSU from a corsair 550w gold to a silverstone 600w gold.

I've been using my rig for a while now til I decided to watercool it using Bykski parts just the past week or 2. The CPU doesn't seem to have any problems since when I stressed test it, it only goes up to 49-50c at load (30c at idle). Its only the GPU that I have a problem with. Its around 30c at idle but when I fire up a game, it immediately spikes up to 90c, but after I close the game, it quickly goes back to 30c.

I just need some help guys if there's anything I probably missed. My last resort would probably to have the GPU back to air for testing but I won't be able to do so for a while since I don't want to drain the loop at the moment. Its actually my first time doing a custom waterloop build.

Here's my specs by the way:

GPU: Gigabyte 1080ti Gaming OC 11G White http://

CPU: Intel core i7 8086k
Mobo: Maximus X Hero Wifi AC
SSD: Adata SX8200 480GB NVME
Memory: 16GB Geil Super Luce

I'm in vertical GPU config by the way and use some extension cables (I tried not using the extension cables but the result for the GPU is still the same)

By the way, here's a link to the waterblock I'm using: Bykski Waterblock

Here's a screenshot and video when I'm on the in-game menu and a pic of my rig:
