Need help guys some games not working

Hey guys,

I have a Cyberpower PC
i7 4770k
8GB RAM
2TB Hard Drive
XFX R9290X 8GB
Windows 10 64bit

I have my computer hooked up to my HDTV with a hdmi to vga cable. I recently purchased this game. On my tv when I switch to inputs (cable tv, antenna, PC) I receive a blue screen and then the screen goes to whatever device input I select. Anyway I cannot play this game for the life of me. Actually a few other games I cannot play as well such as Legos Jurassic World and a few others while most of my other games play correctly.

When I go to start "The Evil Within" on Steam the game appears to launch but then it just hangs on the blue screen with no sound...just a blue screen.

I have the latest driver (15.8 Beta) for my video card and the video card (brand new) was installed by a technician at the computer shop I go to and like I said it does play other games. So I don`t believe it was installed incorrectly.

I have tried several things like:

Older video drivers
Running the game as admin and running Windows 7 and 8 compatible modes
disabling video graphic enhancement properties for the game
I don`t have any anti virus software and I turned off my firewall

I don`t want to RMA my video card because I spent like $400 on it and like I said I don`t think it`s the video card.

I don`t want to do a system restore or go back to Windows 8.1. or Windows 7.

Any ideas?

so it a cyberpower pc then you upgrade the gpu? did you upgrade the psu too?

Yes. 1000 watt psu. A high quality brand. I have a HDMI to my 1080 HDTV with the other end of the HDMI cable to the back of the computer into the video cards HDMI input.

I just peformed a clean install of Windows 7. Still not working.
