Did you try running Malwarebytes start there if you have not done so yet. Do this first.

While you are at it run their rootkit tool.

https://www.malwarebytes.org/antirootkit/

You could try a better anti virus program such Avast or Bitdefender, I believe they may offer free editions.

If you know about when you started noticing the problem, you can maybe possible go back and find a restore point before this and see if a system restore will help.

You can go to C:\Windows\Prefetch folder and if the NSCPUNMiner.exe is in there up can try deleteing it. Then restart your computer and see if it returns. Do not delete the whole Prefetch folder however.

Beyond that you might need to get help from your AV support or possibly go to...
At first glance it looks like a bitcoin miner.

I would first run a virus scan and if you have not done so already download MalwareBytes free edition and run it to see if they detect anything and follow the program suggestions. If that does help with the problem you can also try the following.

Open your task manger and right click on the process, select properties and see which program the file is associated with. I you feel comfortably doing so, create a restore point, then delete the associated program/file and see if this resloves your problem. If you have issues you can restore with the restore point you create.

Yes i have installed Microsoft security essentials anti virus and did a FULL SCAN too but it didnt detect the file as a virus. What should i do now?

well if i install the prog-MALWARE BYTES will it conflict with my current anti virus-Microsoft security essential?
Also even if i End task that prog. it still returns automatically...along with this a file named -images.scr..
is this a virus too??

No malwarebytes will not conflict your AV. Download, make sure it is updated and run it. A lot of malwares are distribute as image.scr files. There are a lot of them circulating around Steam right now for example. If that process is associated with an image.scr file you could probably just try deleting it.

I have got the same problem. NscpuCNMiner. I had 4 of them running at a time. So I followed your instructions. And I got rid of 2 of them. But I still have 2 left. They still use 75% of the CPU. It's really frustrating. I don't want to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. The files are in a folder named Images in my directory. Whenever i delete it...it comes back. Please help me
