How do I make my computer not show that a file is taking up space? Say for example my computer has 1TB of space and I put this file in and the computer still shows that there is still 1TB of space available even though there is a file taking up space.

Encrypt the folder. Then it doesn't matter if people know it's there, they can't access it if they can't decrypt it.

That is a bad idea since the file can then be over written. The only way to do what you are saying is to monkey with the file table. But even then it would be visible to a knowledgeable IT guy. In fact doing this would immediately get his attention.

Don't put it on the hard drive if you don't want it there. Put it on a thumb drive and keep it with you.
