Hello guys. So, I want a gaming computer for christmas and my budget is low, so since it is my first and I don't understand nothing about hardware I came here to get your help. I've been reading other posts but none of them really met my requirements, so I've created an account and started my own.

Approximate Purchase Date: Christmas

Budget Range: 700-800€

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the net, general uses.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Do you need to buy OS: No

Location: Portugal

Parts Preferences: I don't have any preferences. I want the better parts, no matter the brand.

Overclocking: GPU Maybe / CPU No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe in the future but probably not.

Your Monitor Resolution: I don't have a monitor yet, but I think 1080p is the way to go.

Additional Comments: Need a gaming pc, future-proof, no recording nor rendering.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Since I started gaming, the only computers I had were laptops and I always had to lower the resolution and the settings to the minimum (and some of them still didn't run at decent fps). So now, I just want a computer to play all the games, and the ones that will come, without having that fps lag which is very annoying. With this budget I would want the best performance for gaming. I know it won't last forever but I will only upgrade when the future games can't be run with the lowest settings (I have no problem playing at low settings, I've got used to it), and I hope that day will take long to arrive.
So, short story short, I want to play all the recent and future games at decent fps for the maximum of time.

Now, the shop is limited, I know, but I can only buy from here (I will post the links from the parts, since the shop is in portuguese):
Processors
Motherboards
RAM
Graphics Cards
Hard Drives(not more than 500GB since in my current pc Im only using 100GB)
Cases(maybe the cheapest one)
Power Supplies
Cooling(don't think I need it since Im not overclocking the CPU but Im a hardware noob so, feel free to give your opinion)
DVD Burners(maybe the cheapest one)
Monitors(I know nothing about monitors but maybe 1080p)

Thanks guys.

CPU: i3 3220 is most likely your best bet it's within your budget and provides ample performance 130€ range
MOBO: ASrock H77 Pro4, would most likely work for you, it 'should' be in the 80€ range
RAM: corsair/gskill/kingston for example 2x4GB <=1.5V CAS9 1600Mhz ram should be cheap 30-40€ range
GPU: with your limited budget Radeon 7770 probably is doable, 110-120€ range
Case: antec 302 for example should be reasonably cheap, 50-60€
PSU: 500-650W range from Antec/Corsair/Seasonic 50-80€
HDD: Samsung F3, WD blue in the 500GB range should do, prices vary but should be able to get for about 50€
DVD: Samsung/Lite-On/Asus 20+x DVD writer 20€ or so
Monitor: Whatever feels good for you and you have money for, roughly Asus/Acer/AOC ( 21-24" ) 100-130€ should be able to get you a decent fullHD monitor

Total comes to about 710€ with the above estimates, not sure how accurate they are for portugal.

If the prices are right and you can fit in a Radeon 7850, that will provide a sizeable increase in gaming performance but also at a pretty high cost in comparison.
But lets see if the above type of build is possible for you at the estimated prices and i think you will be pleased with it.

I did not include a keyboard and a mouse as those are quite personal, but you can get "something" for 20 € or less in each.
And maybe you already have at least a mouse handy.

I agree with rvilkman with one exception gaming is really pushing in to the quad core realm while intel does make better cpu's I would suggest going amd to get that extra bang for your buck wanting to game these days and buying a dual core chip to do so is really just not the best idea.

Yeah most new games use 4 cores... and battlefield 3 can run 6 cores. So i would suggest a 4 core or 6 core AMD CPU. Or go for the new piledriver series, but they may cost a little more.

Thanks very much. Some of that parts are impossible to buy in this shop but I got the ideia. I won't need a mouse and I can get a keyboard for 5€, so that wont count.
I have post the links here so if that wont bother much, could you please make another build with the components available? Appreciated

Oh, and if you can get better with more than 710€ say, because I can go until 800€.

LG DVD+/-Rw 24x DLayer Sata Preto Bulk 18.9€
Samsung LED S22B150N Full HD 5ms 109.5€

Total: 799.9€ :D

Comments:
Case is poor, no cable management, no usb3, no fans included. No money for something better.
H77 mainboard could be cheaper, but there is none in your shop. This AsRock is the cheapest mainboard there. Maybe you can buy in another shop?
Monitor is a wild guess. It probably is a low-end model, cheap and I wouldn't hope for miracles. Check out some reviews, maybe it's not worth buying.
7870 is a good card. On par with 660ti, so it should deliver plenty of performance, however the i3 could bottleneck it a little. Maybe it could be replaced with i5-3450(or 3330) if you are willing to sacrifice hdd performance and buy a cheap 500GB 5400rpm drive.

This system won't handle newest games in 1080p with ultra details for sure, but it is the best I could come up with.

Why z77 mobo, I dont want to overclock. Maybe that will lower the price. And I only want a 500GB HDD (currently using 100GB on my pc), and changed the case to a cheaper but with usb3.0 and that maybe will lower the budget so I can get an i5.

I've come up with this, what do you think?
Intel Core i5 3330 3.0GHz (3.2GHz Turbo) 6MB BOX - 169.5€
ASUS P8B75-M LX INTEL B75 SK1155 - 58.9€
G.SKILL ARES DDR3 2X4GB 1600MHZ CAS9 1.5V - 39.5€
WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLUE 500GB 16MB SATAIII (6GB/S) - 59.9€
Msi Radeon HD7870 Twin Frozr III OC 2GB DDR5 PCI-E - 231.9€
SAMSUNG DVD/RW 22X DLAYER BLACK BULK SATA - 17.5€
CORSAIR CX-500W 12CM BUILDER SERIES V2 80PLUS - 56.5€
Cooler Master K350 - USB 3.0 - 35.5€
LG LED E2242C-BN FULLHD 5MS - 110.9€
Total:780,1€

Antec Dark Fleet DF-30

its on your website and it costs 77 euros i think, good case but a bit pricey.
dont go lower on price though because the lower you go, the worse the build quality is!

Please forgive me, I only speak english. Thank god numbers are universal.

Please note my opinions are exactly that, opinions. Not knocking anyone who doesn't agree, take my advice or don't at your own discretion.

ON CASE: Been building PCs for 14 years now (first rig was in summer '98), and from years of experience, cheap PC Cases are fine on 2 conditions.

1) Proper Ventilation. Fan in front to suck air in, and a fan in back to blow it out at least. I have a case with a side fan (air in), top fan (air out), bottom fan (air in), and a bunch more just to help circulate. That said, I recommend the Cooler Master K380 USB 3.0 listed for 38.5 euros
http://www.chiptec.net/incs/verproduto.php?id=13166&session=b5d6d810bee4ac93d36d7f110ebef3c5

2) Plastic Does not like to get banged around. If you move around a lot (i.e. LAN parties), you'll want to lean more towards a case designed for that purpose. Antec makes a few, but they are pricy. Just leave the PC mostly put and secure it well when transporting, and ensure everythign is connected when you get to your destination and you'll be fine.

ON MONITOR: CONTRAST CONTRAST CONTRAST!!!! I bought a nice big monitor cheap with a semi low contrast rating. I paid approx $130 US, which was a good deal for a monitor that size, but my wife's 21.5 inch monitor has a considerably higher contrast ratio, and her colors are definately sharper than mine, and by more than a little bit. DO NOT buy a monitor where the little number is below 1000:1. Mine is listed as 80,000:1 (1000:1). Refresh rates above 60Hz are not necessary on a build of your budget, because you will probably not reach higher than 80FPS on your card (Don't own the HD7870, but a friend does, he gets 72FPS max in Skyrim), and it goes, to my knowledge 60Hz - 120Hz - 240Hz.

I won't need to buy a monitor now, but thanks for the information, might use that in the future.

I've come up with this build:
INTEL CORE I5-3470 3.2GHZ (3.6GHZ TURBO) 6MB BOX - 179.9€
ASUS P8B75-M LX INTEL B75 SK1155 - 58.9€
G.SKILL ARES DDR3 2X4GB 1600MHZ CAS9 1.5V - 39.5€
WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLUE 500GB 16MB SATAIII (6GB/S) - 59.9€
Msi Radeon HD7870 Twin Frozr III OC 2GB DDR5 PCI-E - 231.9€
SAMSUNG DVD/RW 22X DLAYER BLACK BULK SATA - 17.5€
XFX Core Edition PSU PRO 550W - 61.9€
COOLER MASTER K380 - USB 3.0 - 38.5€
A4TECH TECLADO RECTRO-ILUMINADO KD-800L - 22.5€
Total: 710.5€

Do you think I should change anything but keeping the budget? For example I can buy a cheaper keyboard instead of that 22.5€ one and spend it on anything else, like the processor, case, psu or mobo.

I don't understand about cases, psus and mobos so I dont know if the ones I choose are good.

Thanks for the help

PS: The links of the shop menu are in this post somewhere
