Hello all, so Friday night I got home and noticed my monitor had no picture and it had an input not available error. I tried logging in remotely to see if it was an hdmi issue and could not do that either. Restarted the pc and same error. Next morning took everything apart 1-8gb ram stick, nvme, and gpu, still nothing. Tried different psu, gpu, cmos reset, still nothing. Original gpu in another pc, nothing. Tried to do it again today and it just turns on/off. I have no clue what else to test for or if the mobo/gpu are dead. Any suggestions would be appreciated. As for specs I have ASRock B560 Steel Legend, i5-10600kf, 32gb ram, rx 6600xt.

I bought this one Thermaltake - SMART 700W ATX 80
would be willing to bet this psu would be the culprit its a low quality psu its not a true 700w its a 650w psu.

if you want to confirm its a dead psu
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hakeeta-Ch...d=1706645143&sprefix=psu+teste,aps,161&sr=8-9

you can use this to test the psu if the -5v doesnt light up its fine as its obsolete

basicly if all light up apart from the -5v then psu is fine
if any others dont light up psu is bad.

also do you mean no signs of life when the rx 6600 is in another pc ?

Once I get home ill double check on that psu. And I'll try the gpu swap. I'm sure I did it already and got nothing but ill redo it again just to be sure

Sorry for being gone, been a bit busy with work. So I got a new psu, it is a CORSAIR - RMe Series RM750e 80 PLUS Gold. Also used my old 750ti I have and all it does it power's on/off really quick. The dram and cpu error lights come on when I turn it on though.

Sounds like the worst case scenario. Both the motherboard and GPU are dead.

Can you confirm that you installed the RX 6600 in another PC and it would not boot? Or it would not show any display? Or it would not even power on?
It's possible that other PC PSU cannot power the card, and that it may be ok. You should not throw it away until you are 100% the GPU will not work in any PC.

Once I get home again I'll try it out, can't believe motherboard/gpu might be dead after just a year 🥲, I was really hoping that wasn't the case

I'm sorry. It seems you've eliminated everything else.
It is too early for the motherboard to die, unless it was defective. Is it still under warranty? At least there's that.
