Hello, I recently upgraded an old PC to AM4 using a Gigabyte Aorus Pro wifi mobo, Ryzen 5 3600X and 2x16GB of Corsair 3200c16 ram. Now the XMP profile (16-18-18-18-36) works great at 3200 but I had to loosen up to 18-20-20-20-40 at 3600. I'd like to tighten up the timings but Thaiphoon burner doesn't seem to properly identify the chips (see link below).

Now TB shows the Samsung part number for B-die followed by "?". But if it truly were B-die it shouldn't need CL16 at 3200 and it wouldn't fail POST at 3600 C16. When using the safe timings generated by Ryzen Dram calculator it also fails POST. If I choose Samsung oem 3600 is unsupported. I'm just looking for help to identify what chips populate my ram so I can hopefully start tightening up my timings a little. TIA

The guiding document is the Motherboard's User Guide/Manual.

Reference (may not be the applicable manual for your motherboard - use the necessary model number):

https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b450-aorus-pro-wifi_1002_e_190528.pdf

Reference Page 7 (Memory) for supported RAM chips. Note the reference to visit Gigabyte's website for latest memory information.

Reference Pages 10-11 (Installing the Memory) to double check the physical installation and configuration.

Reference Pages 26-27 for more additional advanced memory configuration options.

Probably degraded B-die. What's the version number of the sticks?
