My current specification of my PC is:

CPU: Core i5 650 3.2Ghz
4gb DDr3 Transend 1333Mhz RAM
Mobo: P7H55- M LX
GPU: Sapphire 7750
TT 500w PSU
Monitor: Samsung B2230H (21.5" LCD HD Monitor)

The thing is I want a newer model of CPU and Mobo. My budget isn't very high, but I really do want to play the newer games. Last game I tried was Saints Row 4 with this PC and I reduced most of the graphics quality but kept the resolution at 1920x1080 and get usually around 45-60 FPS.

But I want to play the latest games like BF4 and Watch Dogs...As far as I have heard these 2 games will run on 64bit pc with 6GB Ram at least. I will upgrade the RAM, but I am unsure about which CPU and Mobo combination to get.

My budget is Tk18000(1USD is 86Tk)

I have the sites of stores in my country(Bangladesh) given here:

http://www.ryanscomputers.com/Mainboard/All-Brands
http://www.ucc-bd.com/products-1/all-products/processor-cpu.html

At first I was thinking of getting the i3 3rd Gen Processor, but it has 2 core but the price is around Tk10000, I wanted a 4 core processor which puts the price of just the processor at Tk16000-18000. Then one of the stores was telling me to get the newer Richland APU by AMD, but some of the threads here said its not that great, more of a entry/mid level CPU.

Also my GPU, I got it exchanged a while ago and its only 4 months old(only 2 months warranty remaining though, since I RMA'ed this GPU from the store and the warranty didn't get added.) If they allow to RMA my GPU should I exchange it for something else? Which one could I get? My original target was Nvidia 650 Power TI .

PS: I prefer usually Intel but AMD seems to give more specs for the buck, for CPU I mean...

Please help me and Thank You :)

First off if you were to get a new GPU, I would recommend a 7950 as it should comfortably play BF4 and Watchdogs at very high to ultra settings without AA or other intensive options.

Also, don't get an APU if you're not going to use the integrated graphics

If you're considering overclocking you could go with the FX 6300

I'm not good with motherboard recommendations but you could take a look at this

Yikes, that goes a bit over budget at 19,700

A bit over the budget is something I can manage...around 20k should be the limit maybe then :)

But what do you think Intel or AMD???
Bang for Buck seems AMD, but I have ALWAYS used Intel, my laptop is i5 3rd Gen with 4cores(makes me feel sad my Laptop CPU is better than the Desktop CPU, but still can't outperfom in terms of FPS cuz its a laptop :p )

I really don't want to change the GPU since its way over the budget, I wanna change the CPU and Mobo 1st since my current ones are old and I am getting BSODs recently, the error codes say its related to Memory Module, but my RAM is only 2 or 3 months old and I still got it replaced today...

Ah... you can reserve that for a future upgrade :|, yep bang for buck is generally AMD but I've always used intel as well haha
Intel single threaded performance is much more powerful, but AMD has value on its side xD

In regards to memory, have you swapped slots to see if it stopped bsod that way?

I actually did change the slots and it worked for 4 days then the same problems. So I changed the RAM yesterday and its working ok atm, but I am still confused on which CPU+Mobo to get.

I have used almost all generations of Intel processors other than 1 and 4. They have always performed well for me... So I don't know what to choose :(

Getting a new i3 isn't going to be much of an improvement over your current i5. So instead of trying to fit a mediocre CPU and board into that budget, I suggest just getting a better graphics card, which will give more benefit to gaming.

Consider these:

I could do that and save a lot of money but the thing is my CPU and Mobo is over 3 yrs, so I wanted to get a new one, if I do get an Intel then is the 4th Gen i5 gonna be an improvement???

Also I don't understand one thing, my friend uses a i3 3rd gen and ATI 6670 but gets higher FPS in LOL around 300 with medium graphics. I get 260 FPS at the beginning with low settings and then it falls to 120 or so...The other difference is my RAM is 1333mhz while his one is 1600mhz...

@Huilun02
I was thinking of again RMA-ing my current GPU and adding 5k to get the 650Ti...But I still want to change my CPU and MOBO 1st, cuz I believe its past its prime...Only reason...

A 4th gen i5 is twice as fast when comparing at stock. If you want to improve your gaming experience a 650 Ti Boost or 7850 would both give you a nice performance boost, even if there is a small bottleneck present. You can swap out the CPU and mobo down the line.

I never understood the concept of bottlenecking well... I had a Core 2 Duo before and I got a Nvidia 430GT and the CPU used to go upto 80-100% when I was doing nothing in the desktop, is that it???

Also thanks for your Input Rolandz....I wish a lot more people could help, cuz I always end up choosing the majority... My friend wants me to get AMD and then again even says he "sometimes" gets BSOD or just random crashes... :|. But the 2 CPU+Mobo combo u gave, I guess I look into that see if I can get a decent price reduction or sth...

These 2 will be a lot better than my current specs right???
