Need help in choosing a laptop for my dad's employee

So,My dad wants to give a laptop for my employee to work with. We came across three choices of laptop. I'll give you guys the specs of those laptops below. One of the laptops are out of budget but our dad needs a good laptop.

The work the employee does is Excel,AutoCad and presenting some thing in meetings etc. I said an i3 will be fine but dad wants to be sure,so i came to ask you guys. Any help?

What does the etc part entail?

All of those need more RAM.
4GB should net even be considered.
#3 is completely unsuitable.

16GB minimum, especially for anything AutoCad related.

- plus no1 is unsuitable IMO also
an i3 shouldn't be considered - a decent I5 absolute minimum
and remember that newer u chips are often significantly less powerful than some older m/mq chips

No2 with 16GB (32GB preferred) seems a minimum to me for cad apps for anything other than basic stuff

• and even then a 15.6 screen is rather small
• expect to need and budget a 21"+ external hi-res monitor for real work and for even that laptop to struggle if some reasonably complex cad work is done

the emplyee does very minimum autocad like 1/100 so it is fine ig. plus like the plans they do in that is very simple and just 2d. will the i3 laptop be enough???

our dad tells me to get the i5 for him but I said i3 will be fine but i never thought of the ram,does the ram needs to be increased??

Try it yourself on whatever machine you are using ...
even just a couple of moderate sized spreadsheets on a 15.6 screen
.. although your 'cad' requirements seem pretty basic although consider any growth in requirements

Consider
Do you really want an employee sitting around with a windows circle of death while you are paying him?

Listen to your dad and stop trying to save a few $$ that will cost you 100's or 1000's in the longer run

You have two opinions that the i3 isn't up to it
and you really do need at least a basic dedicated GPU, shared memory cpu/gpu is a double hit.
