Hey guys, I'm on the process of currently making a new gaming rig for myself, I wanted to know if all the parts are compatible or not, and whether I would need more power or not

My components to be purchased are:
Sapphire HD 7970 DDR5 Vapor-X 3 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 16 GB RAM
Barracuda 3TB internal HDD
Corsair 850 Watts PSU
ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX Motherboard
AMD FX 8350

and I'll probably get a HAF 912 or something like that
Thanks in advance guys :) \m/

Therefore the 16GB ram and agreed they are full of crap 550watt would do it.
The PSU is way overkill for this system. Something such as an XFX 550W or at most a similarly good 650W would be more than enough.

All of the parts are compatible, but that PSU should be changed to something more proper for this build. It's best not to go overkil on a PSU ust as it's best not to get less than is necessary. I'd also argue that for a gaming rig, your memory choice is also overkill. There's no way that a rig where gaming is the most intensive thing that you do will benefit from 16GB of RAM over 8GB.

ahh thanks guys, I actually also intend to do some graphic designing course and shit.. soo for that. Not to mention I'd really like to run metro on absolute full :p but thanks about that PSU suopport, its just that the site where I'm buying my 7970, said I'd need atleast 850W power supply hence my doubt
