Need help in new PC Build

Hi all.

I am building a new PC that I will be using for gaming and video editing predominantly. Gaming, I will play most FPS, Racing, RPGs etc., mostly high end and my resolution is 1920 x 1080. For editing I use Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. I also use Handbrake.

Here are the parts that I have chosen:

I want to know, if the part list suffices my requirements and this is my first time using a AIO, so do I need to refill the Corsair AIO periodically?

Thanks in advance.

i suggested that ram cuz 1) it looks cool 2) it was on sale like u could see.

the cooler master V850 is based on seasonic G series i believe. if u want a more recent model with longer warranty : https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01NCSW4AY/?tag=pcp03-21

for a 8700k, a big ass air cooler like the noctua nh d15 would do. but for 9900k, u need a beefy aio like the CM 360...
Intel 8700k - 35700

COOLER MASTER MASTERLIQUID ML240R RGB LIQUID CPU COOLER - 8500

Asus Strix F Z390 - 18950

Adata Sprctrix D40 2x8gb 3200mhz rams - 11100

Adata SX6000 Pro 256gb M.2 SSD - 4500

MSI Gaming X trio RTX 2080 - 75400

Fractal Design Meshify C Case - 9200

CoolerMaster V850 Modular PSU - 11700

Total - ~175000

if u really want 32gb of ram for video editing, u can get 2 of those adata d40 ram bundles.

put the front fan in the top as intake to cool the mobo vrm area.

if u want the 9900k : https://www.theitdepot.com/details-Intel+Core+i9-9900K+3.60+GHz+Processor_C30P30974.html

but then i would suggest this cooler : 360mm version of the listed coolermaster aio or this one : Corsair H150i

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am not sure about the ram requirement.

Do you think, this configuration would suffice for what I want to do or you suggest an alternative?

Hi, thanks for your reply

Most of my videos are shot on 4k and I would be editing them in Premiere Pro and exporting to 1080p and 4K. My screen is 1920 x 1080.

I would also use After Effects now and then in addition to Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Does that factor in my choice of selecting more (and possibly faster) RAM?

Good question. I cannot speak from experience, as I am new to video editing and keep it at an entry level 1080p resolution. Based on my research though, video editing can utilize more than 16gb of ram. However that additional utilization doesn't typically justify the increase in cost because it's not that far beyond 16gb. In other words, the time difference to render a video between 16gb & 32gb isn't that much of a different so your better off allocating funds to the processor which will make more of a difference in reducing render times.

I have chosen a 8700k processor based on the reviews on its performance on gaming and video processing. If I were to upgrade the processor to something like a 9700k or 9900k, at my place it is costing me more than what would be saved from the 16 GB RAM reduction.

Assuming that the other choices of power supply, board and gpu are fine, I have two options:
1) Go with 16 GB RAM and add some money to go for a higher processor (I am a little budget constrained considering the other parts in my build)

2) Stay with current processor and 16 GB RAM, scrap the idea of 32 GB RAM (save the money on additional RAM) and upgrade the processor at a later time.

what do you suggest?

PS: Please don't suggest me any RGB things, as they are good to show off, but very distracting while working

ok. I already have a couple of SSD's with me apart from the two in the build. So, I will go with 16 GB RAM and the rest of my build will be the same?

What's wrong with the Power Supply? The 'V' series of power supplies of Cooler Master are made by Seasonic. Lucky did not suggested a change in power supply. What am I missing?

Solution

I was thinking the latest one is SF PRIME. Thanks for pointing out. I will change the power supply.

I have chosen a Corsair AIO 100i v2. Do you suggest the air cooler from Noctua is better suited/performs well for my build?

in 90% of the cases, a 240 aio is equivalent to a big air cooler like the nh d15. and like i also said, the 9900k definitely needs a 360 aio cuz it just runs so hot when you overclock the cpu to 5ghz.

if u r going with 8700k, nh d15 - get low profile rams like ripjaws V or vengence LPX. the spectrix D40 is not as tall as the tridentZ, and the NH D15 leaves the last 2 ram slots free, but dont take the risk.

Correction: the Gaming X trio is not compatible with the meshify C case, too long. and definitely not compatible with a liquid cooler cuz the only place u cant mount one is in the front. no space in the top.

if u dont mind RGB, prefer silent sleek case, change to corsair obsidian 750D https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/corsair-750d-full-tower-cabinet-transparent-side-panel/

I think there is space on the top for AIO. See here, https://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/meshify/meshify-c-bko

I am sticking with 8700K for now. If positioning is not an issue, may I know why do you suggest an Big Fan Cooler from an AIO when there are no RAM blockages when using an AIO?

I plan to overclock only a little, not much. RAM I am sticking with 16 GB

Power supply Seasonic 850W. Any other suggestions?

Regards

Thanks for your reply. I will take a big air cooler.

Out of curiosity, do I need to refill the radiator of the AIO regularly?

Noctua. I have been using one of those in my earlier build and it works flawless.

Ha! It is not my first build. I'm a programmer/video editor who has a very keen interest in system building.

Thanks for sharing the link. I will post my 2 recent builds. One with RX 580 I am using as a Hackintosh and the other that I am about to build with the RTX 2080 for Windows 10
