Need help in splittting single Ethernet incoming line to multiple lines

Hi,

My home is wired with cat 5e cable in all the rooms with RJ11 connector. All these Ethernet wires are originating from my garage, with the Florida temperature of 95 to 100 degree F in extreme Summer. Recently I upgraded to gigabit internet connection and Service provider just installed 1 RJ45 inline switch giving connection to only one of the Ethernet line going to my office room. Now I want to replace rest of the cat 5e jack only from RJ11 to RJ45. In order to do that I believe I would need gigabit switch to be installed in my garage where all of these cables are grouped together. I don’t want to run additional cat 6 or cat5e cable from my office room to other rooms and instead use existing port in each room by converting RJ11 jack to RJ 45. My question is which gigabit switch would you recommend to install in my garage which can withstand florida’s High temperatures up to 100 degree F. Also please advise if there are other solution which are industry standards and used by builders.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I corrected post to reflect temp in Farenheit. Also i understand telephone lines are connected with RJ11 jack. That’s what my cat 5e connection points in my rooms are.

Cat5e wire can be used for a phone line.
RJ11 ports cannot be used for internet.

Assuming the Cat5e is not compromised, and that they all terminate in the same place (the garage?), yes...convert them to RJ45 jacks.
And any standard unmanaged switch will work. You garage temps are not that bad.
