Manufacturer- Hewlett Packard

HP -110–150IL

Current mobo- IPM61-TB

Cpu-i3 3240t

Ram-6gb Ddr3

Integrated hd 2500

I want to upgrade my CPU (only motherboard and gpu) ,my Mobo doesn't have any pcie slot for dedicated gpu, and it is micro ATX according to the manufacturer.

Do i need to buy a different case or i can still upgrade from micro ATX to standard size ATX board. If yes then please suggest some options. Also i will be doing upgrade by myself so it is fine to do by myself ??

The gpu I am looking upto is gtx 1050/1050ti.

Thnx.

The good news is that kaby lake pentium dual core chips are also hyperthreaded now, so you can get amazing performance for 60 bucks.

Also, since h270 and b250 lga 1151 motherboards are so common you can find a high quality board even on a budget. Yay.

Here is what I suggest for a nice budget build.

I did not include storage as your current hard drive should work so long as you do not mind slow boots.

Judging by the pictures, I can tell that there is no way that motherboard is micro atx. It is a rectangle and mATx is a square shaped board. Odd.

Anywho, you definitely will need a new case if looking to upgrade your motherboard. And although I do get that you do not want to upgrade your CPU, lga 1155 motherboards are very hard to come across brand new one ⎌nowadays.

But the killer here is that chipset (h61) does not support the pcie 3.0 needed for your 1050 ti.

So, an upgrade to a modern gpu is pretty much out of the question.
