need help installing driver for wireless xbox 360 controller receiver! (win 7)

i've had this controller for years, then it suddenly stopped working, somehow the computer doesnt recognize the device, so i tried to reisntall the driver.

so i went to device manager, and there's an unknown device (which ovbiously my wireless receiver) then i choose to update drivers, choose the driver manually, then this error happened:

it located the correct driver, but wont install it somehow. what happened?
