NEED HELP Installing OS on new gaming build

Hey guys, I just put together my first gaming pc with a friend, everything works fine (as far as we know). I've created a usb boot drive to install windows 10. Im having a problem getting to the windows set up. Im using a gigabyte z370p motherboard and ive tried a few different settings, uefi, legacy , changing boot priorities, and everytime i select one or the other it says insert boot media/proper boot device and restart/press a key etc. I'm about to re-create the usb just to be sure its not at fault, but I can't understand whats going on.

USB probably wasn't made bootable properly. Use MCT (Media Creation Tool) https://www.techspot.com/downloads/6734-windows-10-installation-tool.html and make sure that UEFI is set in BIOS.
