Need help installing windows 10.

I just got done creating a Gpt uefi bootable usb with Windows 10 Pro on it. My computer is currently running Windows 10 Home.
The problem that I am running into is when I go into the UEFI setting on my computer (which is a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series) and go over to the boot option it will not give me an option to boot from usb. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you already have Windows 10 Home on your computer, you really do not want to use the USB installer until AFTER you upgrade your system to Windows 10 Pro. I know from experience, it is almost impossible and can cause a lot of problems. Update to Windows 10 Pro first then use your USB stick to do a clean install.

Like I said, I have A LOT of experience upgrading different systems from a Home Edition to a Pro Edition, and you will run into a lot of problems trying to upgrade using a USB stick. I just did some more research and it is so fast to upgrade before you plug into your USB stick.

But just one more thing. Did you already buy the license for Windows 10 Pro? If you have not bought it yet you might want to save your money because the Pro Edition does not really offer that much more over the Home Edition. It is a waste of money for the average user.

Do you have a license for Win 10 Pro?
Just because you have the installer does not mean you have a license for it.

And as above, is there a specific reason you want Pro vs Home?
