From what the title says, I've been trying to install Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a separate partition I made with Disk Utility. Previously, I was able to create a partition with Boot Camp Assistant and installed Windows 8.1 that way, but I read that the partition it created was MBR and not GPT and had instead made a hybrid MBR on which my 8.1 was standing.

So I formatted, ran GDisk on terminal to revert to GPT and got Disk Utility to reintegrate the partitions. I've since repartitioned into two halves like I did before with Boot Camp, minus the Boot Camp this time, and have been trying to do it the old-fashioned way--getting a flash drive/disk and trying to choose from those pickin's that way.

For some reason, the flash drive just didn't show up on the boot screen and when I went to click on the disk (which read as an EFI, just like the flash drive did few seconds ago), it just hit me with a Windows Recovery Screen, close to a BSOD almost, and gave me the Error Code: 0xc0000225.

I need Windows for many programs I use for work and I'm in dire straits.

The help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!
:)

Edit: Just tried using the CD again at boot, no crash menu anymore--it just boots into Mac OS X now, not even acknowledging the windows iso there.

I am not a MAC user so dont have much knowledge. If there are installer for Vmware Workstation for MAC then install that software and run any version of Windows you like.

This way i use CentOS, ubuntu, etc....

But if you want to install it as dual boot OS then i cant help you 🙁
