Hay, i would like to get some help, can you judge if my pc is good?

Komplett 200R Midi Tower = CASE
Cooler Master B500 VER.2 KPC = COOLER
ASUS B85M-G, Socket-1150 =MOTHERBOARD
Intel Pentium G3250, Socket-LGA1150 = CPU
HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB Black 2x4GB = MEMORY
ASUS Radeon R7 370 2GB STRIX GAMING = VIDEO CARD
Seagate Barracuda® 1TB = STORAGE
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit = Software

This is my gaming pc, it handles overwatch at 40-60 fps, PUBG at 10-30, CSGO at 50-80 and The Witcher III at 30-60.

Mostly, i would like to ask if i should switch my CPU to an intel Core i5 4460 3,2GHz Socket 1150 (4th Gen)

My pentium is bottlenecking really hard. And i am seriously thinking of buying the I5 4460, If you have any other recommendations for other CPU's, that would be appreciated.

Solution

hes right the i7 is better for the price.
you stil need to replace the powersupply.

ofcourse this is my little piece of advise, you DONT need to
That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Newer pentiums really aren't that bad, in in this case you should be getting 60 fps on low to medium settings.

Remember, DDR4 memory is out. You could get a G4560, new motherboard, and new RAM for around the same price as a 4460, or maybe a little more. That way you have an upgrade path to newer hardware

Thanks for the reply, i was wondering if my ram actually has any negative impact on my gaming experience? Does it affect FPS,? I thought 8gb RAM was enough and good

[strike]I am not upgrading my entire pc, just my CPU as of now. Right now it is absolutely destroying my FPS, and i believe that if i upgrade to an i5 4460 that i would get way more fps[/strike]

Whoops, misunderstood

This.

Also, RAM isn't going to give you an FPS boost, but it will let you do things like have Spotify, chrome tabs, and Skype open in the background while you play. More RAM allows you to have more active tasks open.

[strike]What games are you trying to play?[/strike]
Realized you already mentioned it, sorry

Alright, any recommendations?

Any big name RAM is going to do fine for you. G.skill Sniper, HyperX, etc. are all fine.

If you can, get 16 GB of new RAM, don't just add 8 GB if you can help it. RAM is sold in a kit and is only guaranteed to work if you buy it in that kit

I just calculated my wattage with my current build with http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ and with the i5 4460 cpu, it says:
Load Wattage: 297 W
Recommended PSU Wattage: 347 W

With my current one:

Load Wattage: 268 W
Recommended PSU Wattage: 318 W

this says with my current power supply:

Input Voltage 230V only
Input Range 200-240Vac
Input Current 5A@230Vac
Input Frequency Range 47-63Hz

does this mean that i am under what it recommends? If so it doesnt make sense because my current usage is already over what it gives?

Sorry if i am a little unclear, english is not my first language.

So a guy on reddit said this:

Last i heard of the Cooler Master B500 series it was that they died after 2 years of use on average. Looking at this list https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/B85MG/HelpDesk_CPU/ , if your motherboard supports the Pentium G3250 it supports the i5 4460 so no BIOS/UEFI upgrade needed.
Looking at the market, you are better off buying an i7 4770 second hand, depending on the market where you live. The 1150 CPUs are overpriced in stores due to them being phased out.
So its questionable in many ways yes, in the end only you can answer what is worth it. If the i5 4460 is cheaper than $90 id say yeah.

So do you think he is right?
