Need help making a bootable media

[01101100 01101111 01101100]

I need help making a bootable usb and when i try to format the usb with the iso file it says i need bootsect.exe. I have found ways of fixing this but when following the steps i hit a problem. When following the steps and typing in the command 'list disk' it is only showing one disk of which is not the one i need so i tried "list volume" and it shows the usb so i tried to select the shown volume and it says it is not valid.

You are trying to create a USB install media for 8.1?

You are trying to create a USB install media for 8.1?

Can you reread what it says at the top i fixed it and it tells you the problem im facing

This is why more details are helpful.
There might be multiple issues in trying to make this from an XP machine.

Do you know of a way to select a disk through the command prompt that is what is stopping me from going any further in trying to fix bootsect.

And the other part of the question...can your XP install see all of that 16GB?

Im not sure what you mean but when l type in 'list disk' in diskpart.exe it shows only one disk

Plug the USB in
Open Windows Explorer
Do you see that USB, in all of its 16GB glory?
Can you add files to it?
Can you add 15.5GB of files to it?

The capacity is shown to be 14.4gb and yes i can put files on it

Wow thanks hope this works the one i was previously using was what was prompting me to fix bootsect.
