Hey guys I am in the market for a laptop, I already have a gaming desktop which I also use for work, however, since I will be out of home for a while I need a laptop, which I don't plan to play on, just work. For this reason, everyone keeps telling me to get an apple laptop as temping me to play would be more difficult than if I got an Asus rog or similar. However, I'm not exactly sure if it's worth it, and would like to get your second opinion, Would love to get your input!

I like them. I use both Windows and Mac. My preferred use is a Mac laptop and Windows desktop.

The Macbook Air will offer astounding battery life, a beautiful screen and is silent. If I was looking at Windows laptops. I'd be looking at Lenovo. One of their thin and light models with great battery life. Most likely a Thinkpad due to how well made they are and the exceptional keyboards. One of the premium series of Thinkpad not the cheap E series. Not a gaming laptop like an ASUS ROG.

I'm not even aware of any laptop as thin and light. With as good battery life and as high a resolution and as high a brightness display. All the other laptops with battery life as good. Which are as thin and light. Seem to be limited to a 1920x1080 display and it's usually not as bright. At least not for the price.

The M1 MacBook air is pretty much the best laptop for anyone who doesn't require a ton of grunt. They come with Keynote and Pages for free which demolish Word and PowerPoint and safari is the best browser you can have.

Unless you are using windows-only applications, the M1 MacBook Air is good. I'd future proof it by getting 16gb memory. Internal storage is good if it's 256gb or more.
