My advice? Get either that pentium 3258, but for a little more future proofing get a FX 4300. I would get an R7 260x, true audio and next gen performance.

Or, I would suggest an APU. Then you can do dual graphics later on.

Well, an 8350, with a 212, OC'ed is huge performance, and very cheap comparatively. I like Intel, but they are a premium.

It all comes done to what the OP want. The FX 8350 will bottleneck GPU's higher than the R9 285. So if he wants to get a better GPU in the future then going Intel will save him later on.

Throw another 4GB stick when you have the chance. If you already have a OS let me know.
Also if you dont plan to upgrade later you can consider this:

A better gpu but a slower cpu, and zero upgrade path on the cpu.

Dont get a X4 760k , it may have 4 cores and a 3.9 ghz Clock but the g3258 will givfe much more performance when overclocked you can get up to 4.8 GHZ on stock cooler. APU are good but the CPU part doesnt worth it wait for the one with the integreted R9 chip if you abslolutly want one. And you may need to stretch up your budget and get 8 gb of RAM.

I know this Build may be a bit over Budget for you at $530, but this should suit your needs.

X4 760k is not a APU, mate! And g3258 @4.8 GHZ on stock cooler... i dont think so.

That been said, g3258 @4.2 GHZ on stock cooler isnt that hard to achieve. Two highly efficient Haswell cores at 4.2 GHZ for $70 really is a bargain.

Even though I don't advise to advertising torrent OS's on Tom's H, I will say that he is still right tho. Why spend $100 on an OS that you can get for free? And put that extra money toward parts or save it while being under budget. Microsoft is one of the riches companies in the world they won't care if a few ppl didn't buy their OS

I currently have a torrent OS running on my gaming build with 0 issues (Windows 7, I can't bare to use Windows 8)

I get that, but don't go linking tomshardware with piracy. We already have reputations as dirty pirates. I don't want to see that hasppen to this site.
