As said above, I need help/insight on what to do - Whenever I open up most steam games I press play and then they take about 3-4 minutes to open up. After they have opened up, they are "Not Responding when I open up task manager. To get out of a game I must Ctrl+Alt+Delete and open task manager and use arrow keys and Delete button to close out. While doing this my computer is using the games cursor. I have used Spyware: Search and Destroy, Malwarebytes, and use Avast Antivirus. My specs are -
Intel Core i5 3570k @3.4GHz
8GB G-skill RAM
GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2GB
SeaGate 1TB HDD
Corsair CX750 PSU
Asus P8Z77-v LK MOBO
Some games work, some don't. Here are a list of games that do and don't work.
DO:
-Age of Wushu
-Arma 2 & OA
-Arma 3
-Assassin's Creed IV
-Batman Arkham Origins
-Elder Scrolls Online
-Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
-Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
-Minecraft
-Ryse: Son of Rome
-Slender: The Arrival
-Sniper Elite v2
-South Park: The Stick of Truth
-Surgeon Simulator
-ToriBash
DON'T
-Banished
-Battlefield Hardline
-Borderlands 2
-Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
-CoD: MW2(Takes 4 minutes to load but eventually plays)
-DayZ(Takes 3 minutes to press "Change Server")
-Dota 2
-Evolve
-Fable: The Lost Chapters
-Far Cry 3
-Garry's Mod
-Insurgency
-League of Legends
-PAYDAY 2
-Star Wars - Battlefront 2
-Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms
-War Thunder
-The Witcher 2
-WoW
Thanks in advance for any support.:)<3

That's a lot of games> How big is your drive? You might need to clean up your hard drive(s) and possibly defrag. Then go to Steam and right click on the problem games >goto> properties>local files>verify integrity of game cache.
That should keep you busy.

I have a 1 TB HDD with 140 GB left. I have verified some game caches in the past and nothing worked. I also don't need to defrag because one drive has 0% and the other 3%.

Please help me): I think I might Reset or Refresh my PC and put all of my big game download on and external hard drive. I do not think it is a network problem because I just installed Gmod on my iMac and it works fine.. any help would be GREATLY appreciated!🙂

Sadly, no. I am using Win 8.1 64bit
