Hello to all. First off all, thank you for the help. I know there have been lots of threads asking the same question over and over. I have read them all, but I am still confused 110% on which motherboard to purchase.

These are the items that I already have.

Intel Q6600

G.Skill 4GB PC26400 (freebie :D)

Zalman 9700

XFX 8800GTS

So which one to go for? I might do some OC, but nothing major. I will be running Windows XP PRO 64bit. Things I do is mainly music, photography and some video encoding.

These are the motherboards i have in mind. If you have something better, please let me know.

Once again thank you for the help.

ASUS or Gigabyte. Whichever you are familiar and comfortable with. Same chipset, different BIOS. ASUS uses American Megatrends and Gigabyte uses Award I believe. Either company makes great products, it's just a matter of user preference.

The is no difference "really" in between P5K deluxe and the P5K-e and you will find the "e" to be a bit cheaper. Main differences are less copper and minus one lan port
