Need Help: Multiple SSD Or HDD?

I'm new to pc building so I need some pointers as to what storage is best for my needs. I have not yet ordered any parts but the list of components goes like this;

CPU - Intel i7 4930K
GPU - 4x Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Edition
PSU - Corsair AX1200i Digital ATX
Motherboard - either Asrock X79 Extreme11 or Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
SSD/HDD - ?

I am not even sure if these components would work together or if the PSU could handle that. Originally I was planning to use 6 Samsung 840 EVO 1TB SSD with RAID5, but someone else pointed me towards only one SSD and then a set of HDDs. I don't think I fully understand how RAID works. Any help would be great. I would be storing my games and music on the pc.

Price is not a limiting factor; it can be as expensive as it needs to be. I don't want to compromise on components.

This rig is intended for 4k @ 60-100fps for games like Battlefield 4.

First off Id Suggest the Asus Rampage IV Black Edition for your Motherboard, ALSO A 1200W PSU is not enough for GTX 780Ti 4-Way SLI Id wait for the new Corsair AX 1500W PSU if you want to go 4-Way SLI, And a Samsung EVO 1TB Would demolish the fastest HDD.But pesonally Id Go 1 Samsung EVO and the Rest a few Western Digital/Seagate Drives.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYBtmVMtH1g

I understand your point, and simply put all that storage is because I want that much. When it comes to tech, in my opinion bigger is always better.

You shouldn't be using RAID5 with consumer SSD's or consumer drives. Both would be incredibly unreliable.
If you want max performance and you won't be storing any important data, putting up to 4 SSD's in RAID0/5 is okay, but any more than that will not increase performance in any way because of the bottleneck on the SATA controller.

If you're going to be storing data you need to keep, then you should plan to make backups regularly to another external device and 1 off-site at least.
You should never use large consumer drives in RAID with the exception of RAID 1. For 3-6TB of storage in RAID 5 WD Red drives or Seagate NAS drives would be okay. Anything more than that and you'll want to consider RAID 10.
