I've put together a new build and I'm having problems getting it going:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core
Mobo: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R7 260X 2GB
Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (Black) ATX Mid
PSU: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX
OD: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

On first boot, everything seemed normal, the MSI screen came up, I glanced at the settings and shut-down. Then loaded the Windows 7 disc, this seemed to operate normally until it got to the unpacking phase, where it froze at 0%. I shut it down after several minutes.

Now, each time I attempt to boot the system I'm getting different results, sometimes no signal to the monitor, sometimes BOOTMGR is missing error, a couple of times I've gotten a static MSI screen with no function.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Yeah I thought it should... I just can't think of anything else right now that could be wrong.
It's still not ideal though.

Okay, i've swapped the psu with a 550w, now when I'm booting up i got the BOOTMGR error a couple times, then a sudden shut-down preventing me from turning it on for a while. Just tried again a couple times: lights on fans on OD on nothing on display, connections appear ok. What next? Thanks again and in advance. :)

First, thank u everyone for your assistance so far. I've followed all of the feedback so far and have also pulled the battery to reset the bios...now I'm receiving the following screen and cannot interact with it:

efi shell version 2.31[4.653]
current running mode 1.1.2
map: cannot find required map name

Press esc in 1 seconds to skip starup.nsh, any other key to continue
