Need help new os

So basically today I installed my new os , and everything went solid, but the first thing I notice is the HDD . On my win7 i had 2 hdd , and now I only have one. When I installed win8 by custom settings then i deleted something including hdd at the beginning of setup. How can i get my HDD back.

Did you initialize the non windows drive in disk management.

Blackbird's response should be the answer.

But if it isn't, and because you don't directly state it... do you physically have two hard drives? Or is it that before your one hard drive was split into two partitions... making it appear as two hard drives? You can re-partition your one hard drive if that is the case.

I tried this but it doesn't work. Basicllz at beginning of installing win 8 I had option where to install os , and there I saw 2 hard drives and on one I accidently clicked delete and now I don't see it how can I get it back basiclly

It sounds like you don't actually have two hard drives. Those were likely two partitions of a single hard drive. So, again, do you know if there are physically two hard drives within the case of your computer?

Did you try booting the PC WITHOUT THE 2ND ONE ATTACHED?

Then shutdown PC , reattach HDD and boot back up.

a hard drive is like a pizza. you can have ONE pizza (hard drive) with MANY slices (partition), so just because you saw two slices doesn't mean there were two pizzas.
