Hey, I'm waiting for my parts to arrive so I can built my computer, and then start overclocking it.
Here are the specs:
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX
WD 300GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16M Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive
2x Zotac 9800 GTX 512MB AMP! Edition
G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
Vigor Monsoon III LT
I'm looking forward to overclock my processor to about 3.8-4.0GHz, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me do it. Since, I can't find any guides to do it, and the difference in options in BIOS are totally different then the ones for C2D, it would be nice if someone can help me figure this out. Even if someone can give me basic information on what options to play with and what voltages to touch in the BIOS, than I might be able to figure out the rest. So if someone can help me with that, that would be really great full.
Thanks in advance .
P.S. I also hope to get a good batch for my processor so that I don't have to take vcore too much above the spec, which will at least make this computer last at least two years for me . But that's totally up to newegg which one they send me.
