Need Help On A PC Upgrade

I have a gaming computer that I need to upgrade. I stream a lot so I need to be able to have no drop in frame rate. I recently just purchased two DDR3 8 GB RAM sticks so I would like to keep them in this upgrade. I’m a beginner in computer customs, therefore, explaining what everything is will help tremendously. Thanks!

P.S. These are my specs now, besides the RAM sticks: AMD FX-6300 (Processor), ASUS M5A78L-M Plus/USB3 (Motherboard), and AMD Radeon RX 560 (Graphics Card)

P.P.S. I’m working on 3 monitors so the extra USB ports will be necessary.

Hey there! I am a little bit of a noob myself, but let my try and translate what everyone is telling you.

Your current setup is extremely outdated. They suggest that you upgrade your CPU (Processor) to a model with current standards. Unfortunately for you, all modern chips and motherboards operate with DDR4...
To get the most out of a streaming PC you will want the latest CPU. To get the latest CPU you will need DDR4 RAM. Sell the RAM and cut your loss.

Ryzen 5 2600(X)
Ryzen 7 2700(X)
X470 mobo (or B350/X370 with updated bios)

or

i7-8700(K)
B360 or Z370 mobo.

.. all will require DDR4 RAM.

I don’t know what any of that is as well is there no way I could potentially keep the ddr3 and still get a good stream out of it?

Only if you use an older platform, which leaves you with a less significant upgrade and with the same problem when you want to upgrade again.

Your current setup is extremely outdated. They suggest that you upgrade your CPU (Processor) to a model with current standards. Unfortunately for you, all modern chips and motherboards operate with DDR4. It is recommended that you sell your DDR3 and move on because you cannot get a modern processor that functions with out of date RAM (DDR3).

Suggested processors: AMD Ryzen 5 2600(X)
AMD Ryzen 7 2700(X)
Intel i7-8700(K)

Suggested Motherboard: X470 mobo (or B350/X370 with updated bios)
B360 or Z370 mobo.

TL😀R You need a new CPU (processor). In order to make your new CPU work, you need a compatible Motherboard which will require DDR4 RAM. Buy CPU, MB, and RAM.
