I need opinions on the build and help with compatibility or suggestions on changes.

I'll be using the PC for gaming, streaming, photoshop, and sony vegas video editing. Along with other personal use, but this PC is mostly directed towards gaming. Not putting anything on a budget, I plan on overclocking, need suggestions on monitors, power supply, and if it would be worth it to add more RAM to 16GB.

- I'd like to know if the upgrade from 780 to 780 TI would be worth it.
- I may consider dual monitor and SLI in the future.
- I'm hoping to run games (such as BF4) on: 1080p @120/144 Hz with 100+ FPS.
- Considering the Corsair 900D case because of it's looks and airflow (heard it is better than the HAF X), but also considering if I even need a full tower case or not.
- I'm subject to any changes you may come up with.

Solution
1. http://gpuboss.com/
Im not sure if its worth 200$ extra its your choice if you have the money i guess

2. The 900D is an amazing case i reccomend it

3. No you don't need 16 gig of ram 8 is plenty for gaming unless you are doing professional heavy rendering you don't need 16 8 will be fine

hope this helped :)

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/battlefield-4-graphics-card-performance,3634-8.html Check this out. Even the GTX690 doesn't manage to achieve 100fps+ in BF4 with Ultra settings. If you have absolutely no budget then go for a something like a GTX690. Also, the upgrade from the 780 to the 780ti won't make such a big difference (2-5fps) and so I wouldn't tell that it's worth. However, you may want to upgrade you CPU if you plan on having an SLI setup and a dual monitor setup and so, an i7 is highly recommended. You may want to go for a full tower case because you will have more space for cable management and cooling. If you plan on doing serious multitasking while playing games (Editing, streaming and playing simultaneously) and still want a butter smooth experience, I'd say go for 16GB RAM. Hope this helped you.

I've seen plenty of benchmarks with the 780 on BF4 that goes beyond 100 fps (not on average) and why would I need to upgrade my CPU? From what I've read it will work SLI just fine and it is an i7, but I don't know about the dual monitor thing.

Would the 780ti not have a longer shelf life though im thinking it might be worth it for the future sure now it wouldn't matter even my 7950 can run bf4 on ultra

The memory and storage drives are overpriced. I'd recommend a Samsung 840 Evo, possibly stepping up to 250 GB because it's so much cheaper per GB (unfortunately the 250 GB version is currently sold out at Newegg). And a Seagate HDD. The memory could be a kit of Avexir DDR3-2133 CL11, which is faster, cheaper, and low-profile (not that it really matters with water-cooling).

Even a 660 can run BF4 on Ultra. However, he says he wants 100+fps... I don't think either of our cards would be able to do that...

hmmm i guess

Why wouldn't you? You can easily run an SLI with dual monitors (If you plan on doing it) without OCing and without any issues of bottlenecking. You may need to OC an i5 if you want absolutely no bottlenecking for which you will risk frying the CPU. It's your choice as this is just what I'd do if I were given the opportunity to build such a rig. Also, you mentioned that budget isn't a problem so why not get an unlocked i7? It'll last you more years...

Hit the nail on the head

Haha... Thanks man...

@KillerGamer

I think you must've worded something wrong in your head. I am getting an i7 cpu and it is an unlocked 4770K lol

@Sakkura

I'm going to stic with the corsair RAM and the WD Black because of 5 year warranty and read/write speeds, but the Samsung SSD is appealing, besides the slightly lower speeds (which doesn't mean much to me if I can get more space for almost the same price as the corsair ssd)

@Krishna

Would you happen to have any knowledge on any key differences between the HAF X and 900D cases? I've basically setup the entire build around the HAF X and recently discovered the 900D which seems to be pretty good in my eyes

Oh my god... Silly me... I apologize... :/ :|

The 900D would be compitble with like 4 h100i's 😛 there is so much space :3 if i had the money it would be my second top case

I'll take that as a yes then lol. I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch over to the 900D because it pushes the HAF X to the back of my head.

I think I'm ready with my build if anyone can confirm fully on its compatibility with the 900D/HAF X

Anything that will fit in the haf x will fit perfectly into the 900d it is such a big case and has so much compatibility you will be fine you can almost fit 2 computers in that thing 😛 hell you could use it as a dog kennel its a great beast 😛

$60 more is worth 5 year warranty and slightly better quality
I believe that 780 has a slower core clock than the one I've picked. Why would it benefit me more?
Going with 900D case
Looking into the Samsung SSD right now. How will it out-perform the corsair?
