Hi guys so i needed some help to upgrade my pc for gaming and streaming games like CS:GO apex legends and more competitive games.

My current specs are:
CPU:Intel Core i5 2500k
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050-ti
Mainboard:ASUS P8h77-VLE
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Should i change everything ?
Gpu is "recent" in terms that i bought it 2/3 years ago and i think the ram it's okay to keep it also right?
Anyway Give me your thoughts if i could still upgrade with some components that he has or if i should completely change everything my budget is 700€.

Thanks in Advance !

Probably go with adding a smaller M.2 drive for your OS and a couple primary games/applications. Use your current drives for additional storage:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor (€331.00 @ Globaldata)
Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 GAMING X ATX AM4 Motherboard (€189.90 @ Globaldata)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (€109.99 @ Corsair)
Storage: Crucial MX500 250 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (€52.90 @ Globaldata)
Total: €683.79
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Really both CPU and video card can be upgraded, as should the RAM be if you are planning on smooth streaming at high quality. Would need a full new system to make it worth it.

I'd probably stick with your current graphics card for now, but look at upgrading your current core system:

hi @Wolfshadw thanks so much for your response.
So you think keeping the ram is not worth it too ?

@Wolfshadw Now that you mentioned it i have another question eheh im sorry. Is it always better to install the OS on the SSD rather than the HDD?
Yes, You would get better performance if the OS and the games/apps you use most were installed on the SSD.

And other thing. Sorry i just keep remembering things. About the battery i think mine was about 500W will still work with this setup right?
Yes, the 500 watt Power Supply Unit (PSU) should be sufficient for these upgrades. The new processor requires less power than your current processor.
