[SOLVED] Need help on with X470 motherboard and cpu compatibility.

I purchased a 3700x with a Asus Prime X470 Pro motherboard, and unfortunately it requires a bios update and it doesnt come with flashback bios so im in a pickle, im thinking of buying a cheap processor like the 200GE to just update it, however it seems that would also require a bios update. Which CPU would work out the box with the X470 that is cheaper than £80 and if it isnt please still state thanks, and any other way i can get around the fact theres no USB Bios update? Thanks.

The oldest BIOS seems to be 0222 on there. Assuming it is the earliest BIOS.

The A6-9500 should do the trick. AMD still offer their Boot kit loan, but it seems they use the 200GE which isn't compatible by the looks of things.

I've heard that you can get BIOS updates at places like Micro Center, who will plop your motherboard into a temporary system to update the BIOS for you.

Unfortunately there isnt a computer specialist near me, just repairs and stuff. I called for prices and they charging £90 so i thought a processor would 100% be a better option. Not many other tech repairs so they charging abnormal prices.

If you can't rent a CPU to the BIOS update, I'd go ahead and get a X570 board or something like that and return that Prime.
